Willow Creek Riparian Preserve offers 4-hour guided walking tours that extend into and outside of the Preserve. This tour is guided by professional wildlife ecologists (Bob and Julie) with over 50 years of combined experience throughout the Southwestern U.S.

These walking tours cover an array of high desert ecology, from plants to wildlife tracks and sign, geology and streambed dynamics, birds to reptile and amphibian observations, and area history and Native American use.
The 4-hour walking tour covers flat to gently rolling terrain, creek crossings, and some rocky spots within the creek. Walking to the Indian Village site is a little more strenuous as we hike through boulder fields and up and down the hillsides.

{Depending on the Season, Guests are advised to dress in layers, wear study shoes, bring a sun hat, sun screen, bug repellent, a day pack or fanny pack, windbreaker or rain-coat, sunglasses, bird or reptile books, snacks, and any other item to keep you comfortable. We will provide water upon request, snake gators during snake season, and any item that you may have forgotten!}
